Bio, Suzanne White, Voice Actor

I was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, grew up in Montreal and am now living Ottawa. In the early 1990's I studied theatre in Ottawa and then in New York City. I do voice business applications for companies like XeroxTM and AeroplanTM and character voices for World's Funniest Home VideosTM for Asian and European TV. I also create character voices for live ballet performances as intros to a new choreography or to replace the music.

My voice acting career really started when I was a kid, thanks to Dad's record player, Mom's typewritter, Monty Python records and long family car trips. I used to type out the words and my younger brother Mark and I would, without mercy, abuse my parents for hours recounting one skit after another complete with accents (Dad did threaten at one point to take the car off the road if he heard the "Burying the Cat" sketch one more time...)

Some other strings in my bow....

I develop educational shows and workshops for kids (ages 3-12) such as 'A Glass Act - for Kids!TM' and 'Rumble, Melt and Cool'TM which are performed complete with costume changes, props, interactive exercises, computer images and video. Theses shows have been performed at such delicious places like the Children's Museum at the Canadian Museum of Civilization, and Corning Museum of Glass, in Corning, New York.

As a contemporary sculpture, I integrate glass, wood, metal, concrete and stone. Many of my pieces have been done on commission and can be found in collections in Canada, the U.S. and Denmark. My work was featured in the Gallery section of Ottawa Life Magazine.

My engineering, psychology and arts education has led me to learn that;

    80% entertainment + 20% content = 100% learning
